Our Djinda Koolangka (Star Babies) Parents & Babies Group is a warm, welcoming space that provides nourishment and nurturing for babies, toddlers and parents alike. It allows for connection, sharing and support during the special season of babyhood.
Djinda Koolangka sessions run during the school term at our Early Childhood campus in Midland, every Thursday from 9:00am - 11:00am. The sessions begin with relaxed free play time, encouraging connection with other children and parents. This is followed by circle time where we sing children's songs and rhymes together, often accompanied by movement and actions. After Morning Circle, we move to the table where we light a candle and sing a blessing before enjoying a nutritious, organic morning tea. After morning tea, the children can play while we all tidy the room together.
Throughout the morning there is the opportunity to ask questions of our Djinda Koolangka leader and to chat with other parents. From time to time, we may invite guest speakers to talk about a range of topics related to childhood and child development.
Djinda Koolangka families are invited to join with the Kindergarten and Playgroup children to celebrate the seasonal festivals and activities throughout the year. This provides the opportunity to connect with other families in the school and experience the wonder of each celebration.
Between the age of 12 - 18 months, your child will be ready to move from Djinda Koolangka to Playgroup.
